Yesterday, I realized what the APUSH DBQ was going to be on.

US: Progressive Era
International: Jacksonian Era

Haha jk.. those are my predictions. Do you guys have any predictions for the APUSH DBQ and FRQ topics?

Sounds like what the essays were on last year.

I would LOVE it if it were on the progressive era… that’s what I know best…

There’s this little doubt in my mind… what if they made it on the Korean War? Wouldn’t that be incredibly mean?

Hopefully it will be from earlier in history since last year’s was so recent.

Also, they like to use aniversarys (can’t spell…) so… what if they did it on the deal with Cuba… The Platt Amendment, that gave us bases in Cuba, was made in 1909 wasn’t it? And supposed to run out after 100 years? So… hmmm…

Revelations? You’re like Anne Hutchinson! Bans you from the internet haha. Omg, I hope the dbq is Progressive or Jackson. They’re pretty easy topics

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA masterTTP you really have studied your notes haven’t you hahaha
btw… what could be the HARDEST DBQ/FRQ topics? I’m thinking of the Korean War, American Imperialism, Industrial Revolution, etc. Can President Polk’s annexation of the Oregon Territory be considered as American Imperialistic efforts?

a good dbq topic would be on the rise of populism and how that led to liberalism (through reform mvmts, progressive era, fdr) in america. and also something dealing with the rise of the conservative backlash of the '80s.

Dolcevalse- NO.

I hope it’s on anything BEFORE FDR.

I don’t know anything beyond that, lol.

Yeah, I’m screwed. So, so screwed. Pg 300 of AMSCO. Wish me luck!

What about the Civil War?
Like someone said, they love anniversaries, and this is Lincoln’s 200th.
And, to top it off, we have our first black president.

I really hope it’s Progressives, but I’m kind of feeling a Civil War DBQ/FRQ coming…

elaslawek, haha that’s true, i highly doubt ets would think most students are capable of answering a sophisticated question such as that and then formulating a decent essay out of it. but seriously, there’s really nothing to worry about for the dbq - the docs usually jog my memory pretty well. if anything, i’m just more nervous about the essays.

well, it’s lincoln’s 200th

oh and btw i took it last year, and we had the vietnam war-- ridiculously easy and i didnt even write dbq’s all year. pretty much if you can fill up 3-4 pages with decent stuff, you’ll get a 9. most people that take the test don’t score so well, and since you’re on cc i assume that you care enough about your ap grade, so just chill out, sleep tonight/play halo, maybe cut off the beer pong though.

what would a civil war frq ask about

^ It could ask about the tenions between the North and the South (I’m sure this has already been done) or maybe something related to the the causes of the war, and its effects or perhaps it could ask about something related to Reconstruction I guess.

If it was the tensions causing the war I would jump up in my seat.
If it was reconstruction, eh, not some much.

Same, I’m really weak when it comes to Reconstruction.

My teacher’s top 5
