Yet again....What are my chances???

Hello :) So I'm an upcoming senior from NJ, and I was wondering what my chances are of getting into University Park at Penn State. I am HIGHLY interested in the business program, specifically as a Management major. Would it be to my benefit to major undecided? How does applying for this major work at Penn State?

GPA: 3.9 Weighted
All honors courses and taking AP English and possibly AP History US2 Senior year (my school doesn't offer many APs)

Great teacher and counselor recommendations

Penn State is my top choice, specifically because of their community atmosphere and business program. Going to visit next week. Please let me know what you think!!

You’ll probaby get in if you apply very early. Try and raise that score to an 1800 or close to it.

Thanks for replying!

Apply in September and check off summer session just in case and you will get in 99%… good luck

Well, as an incoming freshman, you can apply directly to the Smeal College of Business at Penn State, but they are in general more selective. You can also apply to the Division of Undergraduate Studies (which is essentially “undecided”) and they are definitely less selective. You won’t need to apply to your actually major until your fourth semester (second of sophomore year)…so applying to DUS might be a better fit.

Also, I have heard that applying to summer session (LEAP) also increases your chances.

Thanks for the advice! Do you know how long the summer session is?

6 weeks. [LEAP: Learning Edge Academic Program, University Park](http://www.leap.psu.edu/)
