I know everyone is sick of these stupid chance me threads, but I’m wondering whether some schools within NC State are harder to get into than others, besides Engineering and Design. I’m specifically looking at the Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Major within the College of Natural Resources. Here’s my stats:
GPA: unweighted 3.92 weighted 4.65
ACT: 27 (retaking in 3 weeks)
Class Rank: 1 out of 55 (which isn’t saying much lol)
AP scores: AP World History 3, AP Human Geography 5, AP US History 5 AP Language 5, taking AP Studio Art this year and maybe will self study for AP Environmental Science (my school doesn’t offer it)
Senior Course load: Honors English 4, Honors Discrete Math, Advanced Video Tech (counts as honors), Proficient Art, AP Studio Art, and Honors Civics and Economics. I would have taken more AP classes but my school scheduled them all at the same time D:
ECs: Coding Club for 2 years, Art Club, High School Battle of the Books for 2 years ( we won the district competition )
Community Service: Interact Rotary Club (2 years, did book drives, and animal shelter stuff among other things), National Junior Honor Society
Does anyone have any insight of the college of Natural Resources and how it’s different from the other colleges at State, application wise? Will my essay really determine whether I get in or not? I’m in state and it’s my number one school, no doubt about it. Thanks!
