Hey everyone,

I'm thinking of applying as a winter junior transfer to UT, double-majoring in Film and Economics.
My stats:
Current School: UW - Madison
Out of State
GPA: around 3.4 (except for a horrible second semester my freshman year, when I had a 2.8 GPA, for a good reason (depression, death in the family), I've never received a grade lower then 3.5) I can probably get it up to around 3.6 in the fall.
SATs: 770CR/730M/700W = 2200
HS GPA: 4.2 weighted
No class rank, but my high school is one of the more competitive in the country.
I can get great recs and write good essays.
College ECs: - prominent positions in two student orgs, one of which directly relating to my future career aspirations.
- Copy editor at a student newspaper.
- Part time job, also related to my chosen field.
High School ECs: - Student Government (3 years)
- Senior Yearbook
- Volunteered at a local library
- Tennis
- Model UN
- Part time job

What do you guys think?
