Yet another chance post. Check it out, maybe?

I’d also like to add that I am pentalingual and fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, Afrikaans, Spanish and English. I dont know if that would help but its on my Common App (I was told that it adds a factor of diversity to my applications).

You seem like a good fit for all schools, Illinois might be harder but you have what you need… Good luck I like your stats  sorry on Iphone couldnt write separately but i did research each school… Thanks for chancing me btw :)

I really don’t feel like I have enough information to chance you, seeing as you’re not really willing to have people give feedback on your anything other than grades/scores. And I feel that I would not be doing you a favor by giving you opinions on schools based on very little information.

I’m not sure exactly how selective your potential colleges are, but having mostly Bs and Cs with some As later is not necessarily going to help, no matter how competitive your school is. And keep in mind when you’re talking about rough patches and mental troubles - you can rarely really use them as crutches since they can suggest you might have future problems maintaining good grades and such.

Awesometoad, thank you for the insightful response. However, I would just like to point out that I had no intention of using my anxiety and panic disorders as a “crutch.” Your assumption was slightly insensitive. You have not offended me in the least; you may just want to be more conscientious next time. Thank you.

As I mentioned in my post this blog opens you up to this type of criticism. It’s not admissions or chance or whatever you want to call it. No one on this site can chance you accurately. I say that not to be mean just to point out that most posters are here to try and bring others down.

Ocm2014, I agree that no one is accurate and only the ad com will be able to actually give me any answers. However, most of the people here have a general idea/logic/sense of whether or not certain applicants would be able to get into specific schools. Many people create chance threads to reassure themselves- others do it to get opinions. In the end, though, we are all frazzled high school students/college applicants that just want to get into good colleges.

I agree that these are not “chances,” rather are opinions. I truly do appreciate your insight, and will be sure to keep your logic in mind when receiving “chances.” I also agree that many posters are self-assured and post accordingly. Keeping that in mind, I personally dont take anything that people say on CC to heart. Again, thank you and I wish you luck in your own college search!

I’d say Wooster is definitely a match! My cousin goes there and absolutely loves it :)

@adelaidekc, thanks!

bump…

not very sure about the others on your list, but I’d say Purdue is a match, and UIUC might be a little high reach  Good luck!

Barnard College (RD): match
Bryn Mawr College (ED): match
Case Western Reserve University (EA): match
College of Wooster (EA): safety
Kenyon College (RD): match
Northeastern University (EA): match
Oberlin College (RD): high match
Purdue University (EA): low match
Ohio State University (EA): safety
University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (EA): match
Wellesley College (RD): reach
University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign (EA): high match

Chance back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1575443-chance-me-my-ed-ea-hyp-mit-please-will-chance-back-3.html</a></p>

You should be getting into all of these with a well written essay

I’d say only northeastern might be a reach as far as I know. U michigan, you’re probably in. Not sure about all those others sorry. Also, are you allowed to apply EA too all of those schools?

Chance me?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1613118-chances-for-brown-u-of-rochester-amherst-and-u-of-michigan-ann-arbor.html#latest</a></p>

You should increase your SAT scores, IMO… but otherwise I think you’re a match for most of these
