Yet Another Chance Thread

Schools I am applying to: Wharton at Penn, Stanford, Princeton, MIT, University of Chicago, NYU Stern.

I'm first generation and low income, EFC = 0, however my GPA is kind of inconsistent with the rest of my profile since I have a illness which causes great stochasticity in my grades to say the least. Will colleges takes this into account?

I'm looking to do both biology and business, a dual degree would be optimal, such as the Vagelos LSM Program at Upenn, though that program is ridiculously difficult to get into.

First generation college? I’m going to call BS…

Wherever the hell you want minus top few ivies, they’re random anyways.

Why would you think that? None of my EC’s are characteristic of a person with a very high income like taking international trips or volunteering in other countries. The only reason why I could afford to take so many classes is because my school pays for all AP exams and there is a dual enrollment program where I can take college courses for free.

My school does the exact same thing with APs

My sister was accepted to wharton and had similar stats

MIT-Dream (it seems like you want to go to sloane, but you just don’t have the math/science credentials needed)

Wharton, Stanford and Princeton- Reach, if you have amazing essays and recs, then match

U Chicago -Match depends on essays and recs to help solidify match status

NYU Stern- Safety

UPENN doesnt care much about first gen. or low income + you would be an over represented race in wharton

I’m not really sure what’ll happen in your case, as it seems like you should have more than 60 credit hours of college course work (I figure 22 college classes should be > 60 credit hours), therefore you’d technically qualify as a transfer at many colleges.
On another note, I’ll second the bs call, if only because I can’t see how it’s possible to not get a 36 ACT Math or 800 Math 2 when you seem to have taken Calc AB as a 7th or 8th grader at the latest

???

I took Calc AB as a freshman, then Multivariable Calc and Calc BC as a sophomore and this year as a junior I took diff eq and linear algebra along with discrete math.

Let me say I’m skeptical. You say that you won Florida’s FBLA in Business calculations and placed first at nationals but the last three winners at FBLA nationals in that category have been from Utah, Kentucky and California, with no Floridian in the top 4…

[FBLA Competitive Events](http://www.fbla-pbl.org/web/page/589/sectionid/587/pagelevel/2/fbla.asp)

In addition, I’m expected to believe that you took 19 AP exams with results in your Freshman and Sophomore years, since this year’s results are not out yet including bio, chem and physics??? Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure…

No I took 12 AP exams in my freshman year, the other 7 are my predicted scores from this year, sorry it wasn’t clear.
