Yet Another Chance Thread

There are so many of these on here but I'm a rising senior and starting to get antsy about everything. I know to take replies on this site with a grain of salt, but I'm interested to see what people say anyway. So here is everything about me pretty much:

SAT: 2320 Superscore (2 Tries)
SAT II: 740 Lit, 720 Latin, 710 Physics
GPA: 4.0 UW (Very Challenging Private School in Maryland, Took as Many AP classes as were available)
Rank: No Official Rank, but inducted to Cum Laude Society (top 10% of class)
AP: 5 Latin, 5 Physics, 4 French, 3 Chem

ECs
Volleyball (1 year JV, 3 year Varsity, Captain Senior Year, won championship as Junior)
Lacrosse (1 year F/S, 1 year JV)
Singer in A Capella Group (4 years)
Singer in Glee Club (4 years)
Actor in Spring Musical (4 years)
Habitat for Humanity Club (Co-founder and Leader 2 years)
Co-Leader of Film Festival (2 years)
Film Club Member (4 years)
Spirit Club Member (4 years)
Chess Club Member (2 years)

Community Service
100 Hours of Habitat for Humanity (Requirement for school is 50)

Other
Entered in School Film festival 3 years, won 3 prizes (best middle school film, 2nd best drama, best cinematography)
Freshman Class President, Sophomore Class Vice President
Several School Book Awards
PSAT National Merit Semifinalist (231)
Honor Roll (4 Years)

Here are some of the schools that I am looking at (not in any particular order):
Yale
Dartmouth
Penn
Columbia
Duke
Northwestern
Vanderbilt
Davidson
Virginia (Legacy)
Wash U
Maybe U Chicago?

So chance me? Thanks

UVA: Match
Vanderbilt: High match
Davidson: Match

Do you have a safety?

Everyone else is a reach…

Yale = 10% chance
Dartmouth = 20% chance
Penn = 20% chance
Columbia = 15% chance
Duke = 20% chance
Northwestern = 30% chance
Vanderbilt = not familiar with their policies
Davidson = not familiar with their policies
Virginia (Legacy) = you are getting in
Wash U = you are getting in
Maybe U Chicago = 15% chance

I would suggest adding one or two more lower tier schools, and then shortlisting. Supplements take a while to fill out, and it is better to spend quality time on each application rather than sending out a huge wave of underworked applications.

^ And this is why “Chance Me” threads are pointless. For example:A 10% chance to get admitted to Yale. Yale admitted 6.26% last year. Puzzled123 basically says your 1.6 times LIKLIER than anyone else who is applying. Now certainly, you’re competitive but NO one on this planet, including admissions officers in New Haven at this moment, can give you a numerical “chance”.

Don’t live in echo chambers – this forum is one of the worst.
