Does major impact admissions? If so, is chemE a harder major to get in to?
I think you have a VERY good chance to get into UCI with those stats. Better than what most people had that I know here at UCI.
heyitsjon first of all I am a UCLA alum and I have a child at UCLA now and I actually think with triple digit community service and your stats, etc you shouldn’t rule LA out. They aren’t as concerned about numbers if they perceive unique talent or skills ie karate instructor.The middle of the pack UCs seem to be making a push to improve national ranking hence many kids shut down by Davis this year. But in the end, you will end up where you are supposed to be. Maybe some fantastic collegiate experience awaits in SC…Good luck and remember all the degrees say: UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA in big print at the top, the location where are conferred is merely small print below. They are all good.
