<p>I know there are a lot of these on here, but I really need some imput. Here are some of my stats.</p>

<p>I'm from a small town in west tennessee.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.97 UW</p>

<p>ACT: 33</p>

<p>SAT: 2220</p>

<p>My school only has four AP's, but I got a five on all four.</p>

<p>I did Boy's State, Governor's School, and I toured Europe with a concert group during the summer.</p>

<p>Varsity Soccer 9,10,11,12
Three Year Starter, District Champion, Sectional Champions, State Semifinalists</p>

<p>Band 9,10,11,12
Multiple Honor Bands, Superior Solo, Band Captain, Field Commander</p>

<p>First off, are you applying ED or Regular Decision? I'm a fellow applicant applying ED. It would be fun if you chanced me in return. I'm applying to Trinity.</p>

<p>Overall, I think you look like a solid applicant, though there will be many of those at Duke. I think with what you have shown, you have a great shot. You need to make sure your essays are good of course and show adcoms what you bring to Duke. Your test scores, gpa, and ECs all look stellar. I would say IN Early Decision and a good shot RD. But you never know. Good luck. <p>Yeah, I am applying Early Decision. Also, I took the SAT II's the other day, and thought I did really well. Any other thoughts?</p>

<p>stats are great....but really you HAVE to wow the acceptance committee with the teacher reqs, and especially the essay.....this essay can't be "decent", it's gotta be something that makes them want to know you more.....something that makes them interested......everyone's got the stats.....but do you have teachers that back up how awesome your tests say you are? if you do.....you're cash money bro</p>

<p>i say IN since you are applying ED and that takes some of the randomness out of it. Thats just my opinion though.</p>

<p>If it helps any, I just got my SAT II's back. I got a 800 in bio E, a 790 in Lit, and a 780 in hist.</p>

<p>yeh, congrats, ur a beast at standardized tests...but umm yeh im pretty sure you are in! I got my SAT2 scores back as well...and im gonna stick with my 33 ACT only lol. I scored sub-700 in one so I wont be sending SAT scores at all. Good luck but i seriously think you are in.</p>

<p>Well, I'm having to go with no interview. They couldn't find anyone to do mine. That's probably a minus.</p>

<p>I don't think missing out on an interview will be a "minus" for you. At least I hope not. As you probably already know from my other posts, I didn't get an interview either and I live in NC (although its a rural area). I think it will have no effect. Once again good luck, it seems as though we are very similar applicants. Hope December 15 is a good day for both of us.</p>
