Yet Another Chance

Hey guys,
So I'm interested in applying to the engineering school at UIUC, specifically mechanical engineering. I'm a rising senior. As it stands:

GPA: 3.7 (on a 4.33 scale)
SAT I: Math=800 CR=710 Writing=680 Composite=2190

As for clubs, I'll be doing 4 years of student gov't treasurer, I'm on an award winning FIRST robotics team (treasurer for 2 years), I'm almost an eagle scout, I'm on the schools track team and I plan on spending the summer interning for a Mech E professor at a very well ranked engineering school.
Thanks!

Also, the Mech E prof. is a U of I alumni and I’m an out of state white male

I would say you have a great chance of getting into UIUC and you would be competitive for engineering. It doesn’t matter about connections and “knowing” people who are associated with the university because UIUC doesn’t look at that anymore (clout scandal). You are definitely ahead of the game since you’re interning already. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the advice

Bump…

Again, anyone?

Apparently I’m a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale too

I think you have a good chance, I got into EE with 3.4 gpa UW and 2190 SAT (760 cr, 780 m) and similar ECs

yea you have a really good chance, don’t fret about it
