Yet Another Chances at accelerated program

<p>I am looking at the accelerated med programs specifically the ones in florida(USF,UF, and U Miami). I have another thread with this inof but I think the title is keeping people away. </p>

<p>Personal: White male from florida.</p>

<p>Here are my stats

760 M
740 W
720 CR
1480/1600 2220/2400</p>

<p>GPA - 4.0 UW 5.75 - W (we use a weird overly inflated weighting system)</p>

<p>Rank - 5/600</p>

<p>AP scores
Biology (10) - 5
Chem(11) - expect 4
Calc AB(11) - expect 5</p>

<p>Next year I will be taking AP Physic B and C Kinematics,AP Stats, and AP Macro Economics along with dual enrollment English Composition and European History.</p>

<p>Miscelaneous
National Merit - probably commended but maybe a finalist (find out in Sept.)
AMC 12 Math award
Varsity Golf team since 10th grade
150 hours of community service
NHS since 10th grade
Mu alpha theta - since 11th i am vice president this coming year.
M.C. altar server at church
will be an Eagle Scout in a couple of months
Also in Boy Scouts I was the Senior Patrol Leader(boy in charge of whole troop)
Science Bowl
Worked with the army research lab as an unofficial kind of intern over for a total of 4 weeks over the last 2 summers.</p>

<p>pretty good...make sure you make it to the eagle scout level (it helps tremendously). Also, taking your community service and scoutship into account, you will have the personality and maturity that BA/MD schools are looking for. Some people may tell you to retake the SATs, but I think your doing fine...I'm sure many schools will be looking for you.</p>

<p>Thanks for the reply, I'll be sure to finsh my eagle, I just did my project last weekend so I figure I have a couple months worth of paperwork and I'll be done.</p>

<p>looks good... i got into u. miami with a 1480 sat so you should be all right... just make sure your interview is good!</p>
