The reason I'm thinking ED is b/c I heard the overenrollment from last year will hurt my year's applicants. I also heard that there are scholarship disadvantages with ED and I def. need as much scholarship as I can get.

What do you think are my chances for ED? and for scholarship?

Oh ya I was nominated for Danforth and I will be applying to others if that helps for the "showing interest"

Also, I will be visiting this week and doing the info session, tour, on-campus interview, overnight stay, and class sit-in, is there anything that you all reccomend I should do while I'm there? Is there a way to get in touch with adcom or something?

Your class rank, GPA, ACT scores, and ECs all indicate you'd be a strong applicant to Wash U, whether you apply ED or RD. And yes, Wash U will take the best of the two ACT sittings, same as they do with SAT scores.

You do not have to submit SAT2 scores. Wash U says they're recommended, but not required. If I were you, I wouldn't submit them because the College Board sends all the scores of all the tests you took when you ask them to submit scores to a school. Consequently, the CB will send not only the SAT2 scores but your SAT scores as well.

Can't say anything about your chances for a scholarship, except that the process is very, very competitive. Note that if you're accepted at Wash U, and you've applied for financial aid, the school will certainly offer you a decent financial aid package.

There may or may not be scholarship disadvantages applying ED, but there can be financial aid disadvantages. If you apply ED, and you are accepted, you must go to the school that accepted you ED, regardless of the financial aid they offer you. If you apply RD, and are accepted and you're accepted at a bunch of other schools, you can compare financial aid offers and choose the best one. In some cases, you can even play one school against another and get them to better their original offers.

The other thing I would recommend doing while visiting Wash U is to visit the department in which you think you will major and talk to the department head or dean or one of the professors. The deans, professors, and etc. at Wash U are very friendly and very student centered. If they have time, they'll be more than happy to talk to you, and they will remember that you spoke with them.

Here's the web address for undergrad admissions at Wash U: http://admissions.wustl.edu/ You may want to take a look. They answer a lot of questions, especially on the FAQ pages.
