Yet another 'chances' thread

<p>hey guys. sorry, i know there are about a million ‘do i have a shot?’ threads out there, but i couldnt resist. Im a rising senior looking to apply Early Decision to Penn in the fall. </p>

<p>GPA- 3.93 (thats a 94 average at my school)- im not sure whether its weighted or unweighted.
Test Grades: PSAT-224
SAT- verbal:770, math:790, writing:800 (2360)
SAT2s- Math IC:730, literature:770, French-took it in June
Ill probably have 2 great recs plus good/great counselor rec and hopefully a good essay</p>

<p>ECs-
Editor-in-Chief of school newspaper
Editor-in-Chief of school literary publication
Cofounder/President of Foreign Media Club
Member of Creative Writing Club
Junior Honor Society
Multiple Writing Awards (fiction and poetry)
Best Physics Student Award (11th grade)
Many hours of volunteering, service projects, random honors, etc</p>

<p>ECs outside of school-
Member of Teen Advisory Board at local library
Founder of Teen Talk publication at library
Many hours of volunteering at library since 9th grade
National Champions of 2005 Youth About Business summer business camp
Volunteering at Ed Bryant campaign this summer (he’s running for Senate)
A few other random honors</p>

<p>And one thing I hope will maybe set me apart from other Penn applicants is that I am attending a one month business camp at Wharton (called Leadership in the Business World) at Penn in July.</p>

<p>This won't really set you apart but it's still worth mentioning. As for Penn itself, I mean duh obviously no chance. Bring up that 790 and then we'll talk :)</p>
