You do know that you don't get in based on attitude...I'm in 2 APs officially and I'm also taking the AP Chinese exam because I'm fluent in chinese, got an 800 on the Chinese Subject test. :)

If someone was the nicest person in the world, they still wouldn't get in with mediocre grades. They interview you based on interests AND what you DO to INFLUENCE the community. As long as you can offer the community something, it'll all be good.

Masterus, if you're not Chinese, that's very impressive for a freshman. It's an easy test though, all of my non Chinese classmastes pretty much got 800 after 1 year of intensive study.

Masterus, I don't really understand what you posted. I'm not in algebra, I'm in honors geometry, and what does have approx. 80% of kids at my school in algebra or honors algebra have to do with it, especially considering I'm the only person applying to boarding schools from my school? What do you mean "Why are you on here?" Do you mean I don't have a chance, and I shouldn't bother, or I'm not getting any advice that you deem valuable, or what? Those percentages you gave, those were for your middle school eighth grade year, or your currant year? Sorry for so many questions. Like I said, I didn't really understand your posts.

I attend a public school, I got into some boarding schools, but I didn't want to be away from somethings. I don't need to tell you the name because you might be a harasser.

By the way suze, nice lie, a year of intensive study in Chinese, can't even land you a 400.

Masterus, has anyone attempted to teach you manners? "harasser"? That would be you! It would be difficult to see how any bs would take a chance on someone who comes across as arrogant. This board attempts to help people, not attack people by telling them they don't measure up to you. Frankly I doubt anyone is interested in your academic %((*&&(_)

By the way, you can have all the credentials in the world but, without proper social skills you will have wasted your time.

Masterus, do you act like this in real life? You seem very pompus and arrogant on this thread, and if your behavior on CC is conducive to your behavior in real life, then I pity the people around you.
PS you're a freshman! Enjoy life and high school and leave CC till junior, or at least sophmore year

I know geometry's not very impressive. I simply thought you were misinformed, so I attempted to correct you.
Did someone say something that upset you? You seem sort of angry, and I don't see why.
Right, my question was, were those stats you gave for a ninth grade year or an eighth grade year?

Caught! I was just so envious of your phenomenal success I couldn't help but lie! Please, share your secrets so we can aspire to reach your level!!

prettyckitty, why isn't it impressive? Many kids in the eighth grade are taking algebra 1, some are even taking pre-algebra, some algebra 2, and others geometry. It's impressive enough!

Prepparent, it's not what the other kids at your school take, it's what the other applicants take. I know well enough that many of them are in Honors Geometry or higher.

I'm not angry at all, I just talk like a robot in order to simulate a harsh world.

Kiddo, where are my mistakes? I think you're wrong.

Sure there are goaliedad, my SAT scores from 8th grade are stronger than most seniors on here. One mistake? Do ou count that as detrimental to an entire paragraph? I never said I was God's Gift, you guys are just provoking me to reveal more and more about myself, thus making me look like an elitist.

prepparent, I just meant I know that there are quite a few applicants in geometry. If I were taking calculus, that would be fairly unusual, so in the eyes of a prep school, that would probably be consider pretty impressive, whereas geometry might just be considered slightly above average, if that. I'm very happy with my geometry class, but I kind of wish that I had gone to a different middle school in my district, because you can take algebra in sixth grade there, instead of seventh, and sixth grade maths was terribly boring for me; I knew everything in the curriculum. I think I would have had a much better sixth grade year if I had had algebra.
