Awsome teacher recs from us his ap teacher and bio ap teacher

yea so there are my stats but I also wanted to know another thing......I had severe depression this year and it really affected my grades. However, if I score well on my ap tests, my teachers will change some of my grades, so my gpa will go up to around a 4.5. So can anybody tell me if colleges take stuff like that into consideration.....it was pretty serious at the time (I had to see a psychologist.....urged me to take antidepressants). I plan on writing some stellar essays on how this affected my character for the better.

Chance me at.....
Harvard
Princeton
Yale
Duke
Columbia
Stanford
Berkeley (dream school)
UCLA
UCSB

Well, you're probably not going to like me telling you this, but you are shooting quite high relative to your GPA. If, however, you can get it so that your GPA (uw) goes from a 3.6 to a 3.8, that will make a dramatic difference in the "chances" I am going to post:

As you currently stand, however, you have about a 3.6 uw and a 3.9 UC GPA:

Harvard/Princeton/Yale/Stanford--Reach
Duke/Columbia--Slight Reach
UC Berkeley (dream school)/UCLA (in-state)--Slight Reach (though those ECs are impressive and may get you in both at these schools and at Duke/Columbia)
UCSB (in-state)--Safe Match to Match

Now, let's move that GPA to a 3.8 (uw):
Harvard/Princeton/Yale/Stanford--Slight Reach to Reach (closer to reach, still, since you need a higher ACT score)
Duke/Columbia--Match to Slight Reach (closer to match at Columbia, closer to Slight Reach at Duke)
UC Berkeley (dream school)/UCLA (in-state)--Match
UCSB (in-state)--Safe Match

Good luck.

P.S. I would consider adding UCSD as another school to your list, (where you would be a MATCH).

Oh, and I live in northern California--so you don't have to set the building on fire (your title), they are already all on fire this month.

^^^
"Duke/Columbia--Match to Slight Reach (closer to match at Columbia, closer to Slight Reach at Duke)"

I would think it's the other way around: Columbia has a significantly lower acceptance rate than Duke. Maybe I'm missing something though...

well will any of these colleges take my depression into account....it really messed up my grades and there were specific reasons for it that I will write about in my essays.
