Hi everyone,

I'm a major in Chemistry in my Sophomore year this summer. I know it's not a big deal, but I kept a 4.0 all throughout my Freshman year and intend to keep it as long as possible. Science classes come to me naturally, they make sense. Math comes to me, it makes sense. Even English 102 was pretty smooth. But you know what gets me?

History. Danged history. So I figured this summer I'd take an 8-week Spanish and a 4-week Trigonometry (both of those are going great) and also a 4-week HIST101 (Western Civilization pt. 1.) I'm by no means failing HIST101 but even though I sit down and study every day for a couple hours the same way I would with science, this history thing just isn't working for me. I can get an A if I ace both of my next tests, but I don't think that'll happen (and I refuse to cheat even though it's an online course).

So I wonder, would it look bad if I dropped this history for now and took it again later this school year with a full 16 weeks to do it? I just figure that if I'm going to lose my 4.0, I want it to be in a science class that I need to try harder in, not the little history class that is killing me. I just don't know if dropping the one random class that is ultimately unrelated to my major is going to look bad on my report.

If anyone could get back to me, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
