*yet another* fall courseload thread.

Since all of the advising personell I've called in the school have been less than helpful, (and innumerable tech issues I've had getting my online profile and the like) I've only now been able to register for classes, and I thought I might throw it up here for some advice.

This would be in the engineering school, prospective comp sci/math double major.

Calc 2
Intermediate programming
Writing 220.105 (poetry and fiction)
Discrete math
M&M's thing

16 credits.

The only thing I'm unsure about is Calc 2. I got a 5 on the BC calc exam, but that was over a year ago, and I'm honestly too unsure about what I remember to jump right into calc 3.

you'd be fine if you did calc 3, but with intermediate programming that might be a little much for freshmen fall semester, it really won't hurt you either way, but you'll probably end up with a better gpa and overall understanding of basic calc techniques if you took calc 2, then again I don't remember much from calc 2...you're call but you can't really make a 'wrong' choice here, in fact I'd say avoid taking as many intro classes as you can (i still consider calc 3 an intro class)

If you remember how to integrate and differentiate, then you are ready for calc 3. Everything else is essentially self-contained.

Looks fine. I agree, you should jump to Calc III if you remember the basics of Calc 2.
