This is just to clarify for me...I just got a call for an alumni interview, and I came on CC to read all the other posts about yale interviews...

So, just about everyone gets an interview, right? This is by no means an indication that I am being looked upon favorably? Heh, it'd be nice if it DID mean that! I guess at the very least it means they didn't flat out toss my app into the garbage...

Thanks in advance for the replies guys!

You receive a phone call for an interview if your ASC member is within a certain distance from your home. It doesn't mean that you are more likely to be accepted :( Just try to be honest about your personality, thats what matters most. I'm still waiting for a phone call from my ASC member, but I may never receive one....good luck though!

You can call your regional ASC director if you wanna see why you don't have one, but it's too early to start worrying, you still have all of february.

And sorry, but getting an interview or not has nothing to do with your chances...

yeah i was actually debating how long i should wait before i should call.

I was accepted EA and actually never had an interview. I'm about 40mi outside of chicago, and nobody else I know who applied got an interview either. I was sort of nervous that I didn't get one, but it must not have been a huge deal. Just be yourself, and you'll be fine.

James

I would expect that I would get called for one.....i mean...my guy lives in Orlando and I'm in kissimmee...which is where all the tourists camp out when they go to disney....so im really not THAT far away.

Thanks for the replies guys; too bad it doesn't mean anything. Ah well.

Thanks for the advice too; hopefully I've got the hang of interviews after 3 so far...good luck to everyone else too!
