yet another "omg what are my chances" thread

Usually I don't give my opinion, but since you were so kind as to answer my thread...
I'd be really surprised if you were not accepted right off the bat, and I agree that if Harvard is your first choice you should apply EA. You are an exceptionally strong candidate. But always keep in mind that the whole thing is a crapshoot...so anything can happen. Good Luck with your apps!

Are you considering applying to MIT as well? I'm sure they'd probably love to have you there, considering the fact that you sound like a freaking physics genius. :-)

or caltech...they'd probably give you a hefty scholarship

harvard would be crazy not to take you.

You are one of those rare people who Harvard is accually a match to O_O

Does anyone else find it ironic that the Physics kid gets a 790 on math and 800s on the rest? Haha, just busting your chops.

Wow, obviously a very nice chance. Excellent scores, and a nice hook.

Btw, does anyone know if
USA Physics Team (Top 24) is a better hook than
USABO Finalist (Top 20) or USNCO Camp (Top 20)?

The only reason I can think of why that would be the case is because "USA Team" sounds so frigging good.

any national science team is probably a huge hook no matter what. MOP invites like 60 kids, much more than physics/chem/bio camp, but I would argue that it's just as impressive as US Physics Team or USNCO camp.

WHY do IMO people get rejected?

That's stupid. Aren't they the students Harvard would help the most and Harvard would benefit from?

Don't really understand the logic behind that...

you have crazy crazy crazy stats. there was totally no point in asking if you would get in when you should well know with those stats, you could get into any ivy/top university in the world.

deferred, ho hum.

omg... wow. I thought you of all people would get in...

I guess you truly can't predict harvard admissions.

iostream, you can still get in in April! And if not, I'm sure you'll end up in a good university.
