Yet ANOTHER question about sending scores...

I was wondering, I have to have my SAT scores sent before Nov. 1...does Stanford accept rushing scores? If they do, how exactly do you rush a score to them? I need to rush my new SAT score because I took a test in early October and it won't be available until October 25th....

Also, I was wondering if we need an official score sent from the collegeboard for AP tests...

Thanks for any help given :D

Can't help you with the first one, but no you do not need official AP score reports.

So are all AP scores solely self-reported?

send your AP scores AFTER you've decided where you're going. that's when they're looked at for placement/credits. showing the actual AP courses on the transcript, of course is important to show rigor of academics.
i don't see why any school wouldn't accept rush scores. check out how you do it on the collegeboard website, or call them.

concrete~ no! when they get sent, it's done officially by the AP folks, just as the SATs are, at another cost, of course!

I meant in the admissions process.

sorry..yes, only your self-report in your application.

Call Stanford and find out if they accept "rushed" scores; some schools don't. And the reason is that rushed scores are sent individually by snail mail, while regular scores are transmitted in a batch electronically. Many schools get the regular scores before they get the so-called rushed scores.

Also find out if they need to have the scores by Nov. 1. Often the deadlines refer only to the materials under the control of the student; additional information (such as teacher recommendations, transcripts, and perhaps scores) will be accepted within a short time thereafter.

Ya, I meant during the application process you self report. Sorry for the confusion.
