<p>Of course, that is not a very helpful statistic without knowing where those students live. There is a very big difference between having students live in neighborhoods directly around a university and spread throughout a city.*</p>
<p>I always took “commuter school” to mean a school where students commuted from home/permanent addresses. To call UC Davis and especially UCSB a “commuter school” shows ignorance of the UC system.</p>
