Yet another UC GPA question

My daughter took Chemistry at our local CC last summer. It was a one-semester college course, but completing it gave her credit at her HS for two semesters of HS chemistry. In computing her UC GPA, does this count as two semesters of honors/AP/college, or just one? (In her case, since she got a “B” in the class, one would be better!)

Although the one semester course might satisfy one year of the "a-g" requirement, we only count it as one grade. Hopefully the course included a laboratory section or if not the student also registered for the laboratory section to be considered as a laboratory science course.

Yes, it was a lab course.

Thank you - that's good news!

If there is a separate lab section (in my son's case, for a studio art course) does one list the lab course as a separate entry? It's only a one-credit course (but is required for the art course to be transferable).

Thanks!

Its always best to file the application to appear how the official transcript will look. If we feel that the course was incorrectly listed we will correct the issue when reviewing the application.

Will do.

Thanks very much!
