Ymca.

I've been going to the YMCA everyday this week and yesterday I finally decided to become a member. Well, my mom's boyfriend bought it for me as a Christmas present, lol. There's so much to do there and I can always find something to keep me busy. I usually go for about two hours and go on the treadmill and some other machines that I don't know the names of. I usually go swimming and I'm joining a tennis league there after Christmas break. I've also started lifting weights and I feel stronger already.

So the point of this thread is for you to realize that you should get off your computer and join a gym. They're awesome.

Check check, my friend. I heart the gym! I don't roll out of bed looking like this, you know

Well I do...lol

What are YMCA's, anyway?

They used to be "Young Men's Christian Association" in the good ole days. They also had YWCAs. Today, they're gyms, with other amenities including childcare, many classes, nutritonists, massages, and physical therapy.
I'm about to go there in 30 minutes!
Oh, I've been wondering how much you guys pay per month (and where you're from). I live in the Sillicon Valley and my family pays about $120 a month for a family membership.
My friends who go to other gyms pay drastically less per month at their gyms

I just moved, and I used to live just down the street from a YMCA and I would go there and work out and/or play basketball there all the time. Where I live now there isn't one very close to me, and I really miss it

Gyms get boring after a while. You'll see.

We don't have a YMCA where I live.

For a youth membership I paid $145 for one year. Adult memberships cost around $400 I think.

I heard that in some YMCA in Wisconsin it costs ~$1000 per year for an adult. It's a really nice one, though.

We have only 1 YMCA in my city, and it's across town. In fact, the gym we go to is halfway across town. I live in a very residential area. Everything's too far apart to walk anywhere. :(
