Tell me if you need me to add anything

Can you afford NYU if you get in ED. You have 0 leverage for aid

Yes. I should be able to afford it. If I can’t, you can always back out. The college not being able to meet your need is the only reason you’re allowed to back out from ED.

I’m not getting need based (probably, parents earn over $200k combined), but why do you think I’d get little merit-based?

bump …

■■■■■■■ answer me, you asswipes

NYU Stern places a lot of emphasis on high SAT/ACT scores which you have. I think its a Match to high match

NYU is known for not giving good merit aid. Regardless of your stats, don’t expect much.

You’ve definitely got a decent chance - the high emphasis on high SAT/ACT is not as true as it once was before.

I used to think that was the case but then a lot of my friends from high school and my friends’ friends from diff high schools with 2300+ and great GPAs have gotten rejected from the school. Also just take a look at some of the the decision threads as well - you’ll find that to be true

Also don’t be afraid to apply b/c of the cost - you never know what scholarships you can get. I come from a family that makes $50< and never thought for once that I would even be able to go to Stern and while the aid is not that good, NYU has given a full-tuition scholarship.

Also NYU started a $1Billion campaign just for scholarships so there is a lot more scholarship money to give to students they really relly want.

Cost is not and was not a worry for me. My parents can cover at least half, which means I’d end up around 140k in debt. But that can be paid off (and considering Stern’s high wall street placement, it will be paid off rather quickly)

bump ……

<$50k is what I meant
