me: white suburban northeastern girl somewhere around an A-/B+ average with a mix of honors/APs/regular level at a competitive school. SAT: 800cr/780wr/690m, 800lit, 780ush, 710spanish. will have taken 6 honors classes, 4 APs by the end of next year. bunch of school EC theatre/music (+ leadership positions) and work/internship experience.

i'm applying to some theatre schools within universities, and in others just planning to major in theatre. (stars indicate auditions, which adds a whole 'nother aspect of fun.) does this list seem to make sense/have some balance? where else might it make sense to look?

710 in spanish? White Latino from South Cal?

I'm guessing, but it sounds like you are.

Is BU Boston University?

Seems alright I'd add some more mid-state schools though too, just incase and maybe a MAC or two.

I'd organize it like this..

1st Choice - Where your dream school is at.
2nd Choice - Good State school you'd like.
3rd - Another good state or MAC school.
4th - Safety, but know you'd be happy.

Some of those seem a little high to get into, I'd be more realistic, but it's your decision..not mine.

I think you have a ok chance at all of them. You're so incredibly lucky to have a yale legacy.....you prob have a good chance at that.....I wish I had a legacy at anything except a public school :(

we put very little emphasis on rank, so i don't actually know. pretty sure we don't rank, but think i'm in the top 15% of a GOOD, big public school.
