yo wassup
so I'm taking dah AMC tomorrow
but I'm wondering shoud I take 10 or 12
I'm a soph here man
I got some high 130s in 10 last year but bombed this year's 10a
I'm kinda scared yo, should I take 10b or 12b tomorrow

Thanks man, I'be waitin.
Peace

Hey there, I would suggest that you take the Amc 10b because it’s way easier than the Amc 12 in my opinion. I think with the Amc 10, the top 1% qualify or so and with the Amc 12, the top 5% qualify. Even though the Amc 12 has a higher qualification rate than the Amc 10, the 12 exam covers more topics, so you have to think about that as well. Well good luck anyway, hope this helped!

Does your school provide the tests or do you go to center to take it? How did you study for the AMC 10?

If you just aim to qualify for AIME, then 12B if you usually get higher than 100 but lower than 110 on the 10’s and 10A if you get above 110 on practice exams.

In respect to qualifying for JMO (USAJMO) or USAMO, if you want to try to reach this “level” then I suggest 10B, since it is much harder to qualify for USAMO than JMO.

Good luck! I made it through the AMC10A this year, so no 10B/12B stress for me :)

i would say take amc12. amc10 requires you to be really efficient with your time and accurate: there is no room to make any silly mistakes. I barely made AIME with amc10 in 8th grade but as soon as I started HS, I’ve been taking the AMC12 and find that it’s easier to get into AIME through the 12 test

aww thanks men
Ah, you kno that feelign when you can’t solve problems right on the test
but when you get home even without reviewing or anything you totally solve them almost all of 'em
That’s what happened to me with 10a this year, bro
As for you Acoustic proud of yo man
Ughh, I hope I don’t make some stupid mistakes tomorrow
Peace
