Yo vegge

I choose to eat from the lower end on the food chain...
Is fsu vegetarian friendly? Or am I going to have to do some major stocking up on peanut butter and soyjoy bars? Haha

In the summer they have a vegan choice at Fresh Food for lunch only M-F
I believe they are open all day during fall and spring semesters.

VEGETARIAN/VEGAN CHOICES FOR WEEK of 6/7 M-F LUNCH

TAKE 10 HOMEMADE TORTILLA CHIPS
GAZPACHO SALAD

WHITE RICE
BLACKENED TOFU

EGGPLANT PARMIGIANO
COOKED SPAGHETTI

AE TACO SALAD - SCRATCH
SALSA BLACK BEAN

VEGAN SUB
HUMMUS WITH PITA CHIPS

Yes, Fresh Food has a vegan station that serves vegan options. While they are only open for lunch for summer, they are open breakfast, lunch and dinner for fall and spring. And if you are vegetarian but not all the way vegan, you can just add to that as you please. Suwannee does not have a vegie station, but has a salad station, has cooked vegies, has cheese pizza, etc and you can survive. If you eat eggs they have omelets. Your best bet, though, is Fresh Food, supplemented by your own foods.

oh yay! Sounds pretty reasonable, at least there’s hope

suwannee DOES have a vegetarian section, just like fresh food. fresh food and suwannee offer the same thing, in regards to vegetarian food and meal options. there is no “better or worse” option, except for the fact that they serve different meals on the same day.

Good to know as Fresh Foods list Vegan choices daily on their menus but Suwannee does not.

I was a veg for a yr. (I’m a weakling)! Good for you! =)
It’s not possible to be unable to find cheese pizza. Especially in college.
If you were vegan, it would be harder to eat in general.

haha I’m not hardcore enough to go vegan.
I need my cheese and chocolate!

i’m a vegetarian, too. i practically live off pb&j sandwiches and little snacks.

i’m going to get the smallest/least expensive meal plan (i wouldn’t get a meal plan, but it’s required for my dorm) and then get more food from publix or something. they had vegetarian options at orientation. the dining food isn’t very good though.

HUMMUS! get some hummus!
:P

omgah. <3333 hummus

hummus and flatbread. the soft kind. that’s all you need to live off of.
my roomie threw away my hummus when we were sharing a fridge. she thought it looked gross :(.

is it weird to be a vegetarian who hates hummus

well, i don’t exactly hate it, but it’s not something i have a taste for.
i’m learning to like legumes. it’s hard for me to get over the texture of beans. but i like black bean burgers. hahaha

oh don’t feel bad.
I used to be a vegetarian who hated salads.
I had to tough it out whenever my friends decided to go to any place with “road house” or “steak house” in the name haha

The only “fake meat” I like is veggie burgers. Veggie dogs aren’t bad if you put 5 lbs of ketchup on 'em
Grilled cheese is good too. Can’t forget that delicacy.

veggie burgers, yea! Like the Boca products. Amazing.
However, I won’t go near a veggie dog. They freak me out. I dunno.
about grilled cheeses, they DO have steak & shake in Tally, right?!
:o

tofurkey sausages are really good

i like morningstar more than boca.

morningstar is better. boca is kinda limp and gross.

anything tastes good loaded with ketchup though :P

[Welcome to Steak n Shake. May I take your order?](Steak n Shake | Steakburger & Homemade Milkshakes)
