Hello guys. I’ve made it to University! I’m in my first semester at a CSU, coming from a CC. I’ve decided that for my Senior year I’d ideally love to do study abroad. I’ve been looking at IP’s (international programs) for my Major (communications) and have decided between the ones that don’t have language requirements, my first choice being Yonsei University in SK, or going to Uppsala University in Sweden. Does anyone have experience going to these Universities with the CSU IP? Bonus points if you are a transfer student and did the IP program to one of these places.
I guess my main concern also is that I was reading the program details on the website and it said something about students must have completed 2 semesters at the CSU campus before applying. As I’m a transfer and only have 2 years to go, I found this somewhat unnerving. I’m assuming there’s some kind of exemption to this for transfer students? I was told that applications are going to be starting soon for next year (when I’m a senior), so I’m a little confused about this requirement. Other then that, my only other concern is the visa thing. How is the experience with getting a student visa to SK? Does it take a while, is it expensive, etc.
Thanks in advance!
I’m really hoping that I will get to participate in study abroad. I’m loving my new University but I really want to get immersed in different cultures, especially one that is heavily into gaming culture and e-sports, which is what I want to get into once I graduate.
