I’m a first year student at UofT, but thinking of transferring to York. I’m debating between the two options:
International Studies at York University (Glendon campus) - bilingual degree, small class (less than 30 people which I really prefer) but far away from downtown and doesn’t have the reputation like UofT, more likely to get high GPA with the same amount of efforts I put into the work as the ones from UofT
Political Science at UofT (downtown campus) - outstanding reputation but grade deflation is a problem, huge classes , grade deflation, unhappy students, but in the heart of downtown and the reputation!
I want to take a MBA or go to grad school after in the US, so I’m concerned that if I stay at UofT, my GPA won’t be good enough. Would US grad schools take into account the undergrad school reputation of whether I go to York or UofT?
I’m also looking at UBC, it has the reputation and the nice university campus, only con is the rain and West Coast seems very chill - I really enjoy the fast-pace and active east coast vibe… Will I get such fast-pace vibe anywhere in Vancouver?
