wow this is weird.
Irvines a low match for me (2200 sat, >500 hours community service, hella EC’s, kind of low (3.8 UC) GPA) and I still havnt gotten in.
I’m starting to think i mighta made a mistake on my UC application…

The order of getting your decision is unrelated to your scores (unless you were ELC).

I’m going to go over my application with someone then call them. I have a 2090 sat with 800 on my subject with 3.75 gpa with 350+ hours and captain of sports… Really? I don’t know what happen

The UC’s were flooded with app’s this year. Their acceptance process had to adapt quite a bit to make up for it. I’m sure personal statement played a bigger part then it usually does.

Welp…i’ve been rejected
That’s 4 UCs that i’ve been rejected to, accepted to only 1.
This is not good, my chances for Cal and Davis are just…

FUHHHH!

@trance:
Not even gonna say my SAT.
3.52gpa -.-

I know I probably didn’t have a chance at most top-tier UCs, but it sucks being rejected to most. My only hope is UCR finding enough space and accepting me. I doubt I’ll get into Davis.

Good luck to all.

@degenerated: did you apply to merced?

This is two rejections in 2 consecutive days! WHHHATT! UCs do hate me. omg whyyy. I want to cry, but i’m already numb from the past rejections.

Ahhh gonna flip a freaking table! >.< (not really) best of luck to everyone that’s waiting! Community college here i come. Unless for some reason i am able to get into Cal or Davis.

Perhaps they are sending decisions based on when they recieved the application? I turned mine in fairly close to the deadline. Those who have recieved their deicisons, when did you turn in your application?

It has nothing to do with when you sent in your app. I have friends who were accepted in early February and submitted their app on November 30th.

Ah, have you recieved your decision yet, Sphinx?

I just read the last few pages and it seems that many of you guys and your friends have been rejected today. I checked and I still haven’t gotten anything yet from UCI. I feel like I"m literally hanging on there as long as I can. It’s irritating that UCI has already made their decisions since there are those who are waitlisted, yet they can’t send out all the data in one day. I am now scared for my life and for those who are still hanging on there with me too.

Wow, I didn’t get an email from UCI, but I checked the portal this afternoon and found out i was rejected…
I’m kinda surprised since I know a bunch of people that got in with lower stats. I thought the acceptance of UCSB yesterday was a good sign for Irvine, but I don’t know what to think anymore :(

I’m freaking out about UCD now…

rainsonata, I’m hanging out with you. Hopefully, they don’t let go of us! I have a feeling a good majority of us will recieve our decisions tomorrow, but we do have until the 31st, so there is still hope!

don’t give up rainsonata! I wish i could still be waiting too. Guessing tmrw will really be the last wave. After that they’ll be sending out some more here and there.

I guess CC won’t be too bad if i can just transfer to UCLA or UCSD :/

misstammiex3, I think our personal statements played a bigger role this year.

Sigh, are you still there, Andrew? Did you get in? Or anyone else who bothered staying up last night on this forum? I really hate UCI’s release schedules. I wish they have a questionaire where I can complain about what UCI can change about themselves: their dates for releasing acceptance/rejections.

It seems like UCI posts decisions after 9 AM in spite of stating otherwise?

I like how UCB has ONE official date when they release ALL decisions. I probably shouldn’t hate on UCI, don’t want to jinx my chances! :P

I guess I should stop ■■■■■■■■ so much on UCI…I just want to get in, that’s all. I’m not asking much. What did you guys write for your personal statements? I think the first one asked about how your community/family shaped your life and the second was about your hobbies or something like that.
