I had a breakdown earlier, feel better now. I was holding it all in and then my mom just has to come up to me and say “oh did Irvine accept you yet?” LOL not even =____= ah UCSD and UCI makes me cry.

But a relief not worrying about UCI anymore. And at least we know when Cal and Davis will release their admissions.

CCs aren’t too bad, cheaper than cal states. Plus if you really want to go to a certain UC, don’t give up now. Transferring ftw!

@monkey
well my parents kinda assumed i didn’t get in cause it’s so late in march. i was hoping to surprise them by telling them.
but i guess it’s good they won’t ask haha. yeahh i feel so you much. i didn’t think i would cry, but i broke. down. :'(

yeahh i know CCs aren’t even bad. i just had the negative connotations they get. and when someone asks me where i’m gonna go…

GASPS!! RAINA TTTT noooooo darn you UCI! D:< it’s ok I’m pretty sure we all had a breakdown… this rejection was tough T_T I haven’t cried that much since … idk a long time ago TTT_TTT

But yeah like monkey said, at least we can move on now :)

OMG! I still haven’t told my parents about any of my rejections yet… They assume I’m going to dorm at some UC so they keep asking me where .______.

haha. yeahh i guess we all thought of uci as our safety school and it just hit us twice as hard when we got rejected.
i still can’t believe it.

okay yeah we’ll move on.
hopefully this will motivate us to work extra hard at a CC… if that’s where i’m going. which one are you guys planning to go to?

I just worked to hard in high school you know? I mean all the APs, SATs, ACTs, and ECs and stuff. I mean it just seems so pointless if i just go to a CC where they don’t care about any of that to get in. But now i just am going to accept this fate (again still waiting for Cal and Davis, likely rejections from both) But in 2 years time, we will all be where we want.

I would rather go to CC and transfer to a desirable school, than choosing a school i don’t really want to go to for the next 4 years. So yeah CC it is.

lol at least your parents let you dorm!
my parents wouldn’t let me dorm… so i really wanted to go to uci and commute :(

@monkey
exactlyy. took the words right out of my mouth. what’s the point of anything anymore? it’s not fair. we worked just as hard as everyone, why did we get rejected?
high school was basically completely pointless for me then. sigghh. yeah that’s true i guess i’d rather go to CC and transfer than be unhappy at a cal state…

Well all that matters is where you GRADUATE. Not where you go for two years

I’m planning on going to Moorpark College, luckily i can stay at home if i attend. If anyone even knows where that is. XD My city is like a one-horse town…ok not that bad. This community college is decent though.

Ois! monkey & raina: you guys just said exactly what I was going to say :)

yeahh I know a lot of people are telling me just to go to csuf then transfer to UC later but UCs give CC transfers priority so it will be better to just go CC, bare the bitterness/feeling of wasting 4 years of working hard in high school, and transfer :)

haha yeahh where you graduate is what matters x) but how will you all deal with telling people you’re going to a community college?? i feel so looked down on :(

@ monkeyshinobi

All that work in HS may seem useless now…in the face of a rejection…but down the road, you’ll be sitting pretty amongst the competition at CCC. You’ll have more experience with a tougher workload, M/C tests (I know this sounds god-awfully lame but its true), and social situations. Good luck making the most out of it. To all of you that is. UC admissions were screwed up this year.

LOOKEd down upon? LOL, i got my friends who got into state to go to community college, now were kicking back no
i am such a bad friend :D

but going to a CC is like repeating junior and senior year again. DD: i’m so tired of working hard… and if it doesn’t pay off again. i… i don’t even know.

I know! Me too TTTT… teachers and my parents’ friends have been asking me what college I’m going to and I can’t keep saying “IDK” forever TT

does anyone actually know anyone who successfully transferred from a CC to a respectable UC? :o

cc are not bad, I just wanted the whole college experience… but i realize i can ask friends in state to invite me :D

@rainalove I know right. But even some people well qualified to go to UCs or better probably go to some CCs because of the cheaper cost or whatever reason. Don’t feel bad, just shove your diploma in their faces when you graduate from somewhere awesome! >:D And then you can shove your job status into their faces even more XD See if they look down on you then!

@ainstuff
yeah!! i always say “idk” or just no where cause i’m a failure
now we have to admit going to a CC?? shameee x_x especially to my AP teachers

my cousin transfer to ucb, everyone else transfer to state
