Big envelope arrived today, on front it says “You are Tiger Town Bound” I assume it is a yes. Wonder if scholarship info inside. DS away for weekend though!!
My DD received hers yesterday. It is his acceptance. We are OOS and it did include our merit scholarship info. Hope this helps @paparent106!
Did everyone get an email from the Clemson Office of Undergraduate Admissions called Prepare for the Extraordinary? Just got it today and we haven’t gotten anything from them before. Despite wishful thinking, I am assuming it is a bulk email - we are in Texas and haven’t gotten anything in the mail yet.
@TexasStudent2018 Same here… I got excited!
Wait woah woah! I thought decisions come out on February 15th?!
@TexasStudent2018, I got the same email. But sadly, I think it’s just a marketing mass email. So it doesn’t portend anything. :((
I wish I am wrong. Clemson is completely my first choice!!! :x
Yes, it was an acceptance with $15K merit. We are OOS.
S today got an email titled “Clemson username activation information” that started “as a follow up to your admission decision letter” and then with a lot of information and welcomes implying that he had been accepted. However, we haven’t received the letter or package in mail yet. Maybe it’s in the mail and will be here tomorrow. S applied in late August, and applied for Calhoun Honors about a month ago. We are in state but on the coast, 4+ hours away.
Our came yesterday, we are OOS
OOS son recd acceptance in mail yesterday with merit. Also applied for honors .
Did your DS apply for honors program? Im trying to figure out if all notices went out or just those who applied honors…
and BIG contrats to your DS. I am quite certain that is a YES!

@johncocktoasten My daughter has also received the email, but no letter. Aaaagh the agony, no mail delivery today because of the holiday. Every thing in the email seems to imply that she has been accepted. It refers her to a portal to newly accepted students to make a deposit. Did other accepted students get the same email? Fingers crossed here.
My son received a packet in the mail and an e-mail yesterday titled Prepare for the Extraordinary. It was primarily about picking majors. He applied August 1st (can you tell that Clemson is his first choice) and now we just go his Oct SAT results back and he will apply to the honors program. I wonder if regular acceptances will go out this quickly too or only for the honors program. I did hear anyone who received merit usually receives theirs first. Fingers crossed! We are OOS.
@KWimbs congrats! did your child apply for honors? I am trying to figure out if only honors acceptance went out already. My son applied Aug. 1st regular, but is only applying for honors today as we just got his SAT results back. we did just get an e-mail yesterday about picking majors and did receive a packet in the mail Thursday regarding the same. Hopefully it will come this week. It would make holiday shopping a lot easier.
@TexasStudent2018 we received the same! Fingers crossed!
@njmom27 we are from NJ too! Bergen County here you?
Hey, i am wondering of those who have gotten accepted what y’alls sat scores are?
I think it is confusing because there are two discussions about emails. After reading the threads and looking at the email called “Prepare for the Extraordinary” - I’m quite sure that it is a mass email that went to everyone or everyone in some certain mailing list. But then some students are getting the emails that seem to have direct information about an admission. It sounds like only the $15,000 scholarships with ACT 32 or greater are hearing now. The rest of us need to sit still until they get to the $7500 or lower scholarships, which looks like it will be in about another month, given last year’s calendar… I don’t know where your child fits, but that’s my take on it.
