Most students nowadays waive their FERPA rights, so this is irrelevant to a lot of kids.
Apparently we only waive our right to read recommendations on the Common App. The other FERPA rights remain in place.

I’m scared to see what admissions officers wrote about me.
MIT’s file probably reads “Prospective student visited foodcourt. Ate entire stock. A troubling amount of funds have disappeared.” or something.
On a serious note, it would be REALLY bad if we find out that they’re doing some really questionable things.
This is really interesting, I can’t wait to see what comes out of this.
