For some reason, I just had a panic attack over this. I applied ED Penn and EA state school (just wanted a decision earlier, don't really plan on attending b/c its a safety). I can do that, right? According to the website, online app instructions, and pdf file, it says the restrictions are against applying to more than EARLY DECISION program. That has nothing to do with another nonbinding Early Action program, right? Thanks for the help.

im pretty sure that if you get accepted ED, you just withdraw your other applications. as far as i know, applying EA somewhere isnt against the ED contract

You can apply for Penn ED and a non-restrictive EA programme (like those at Carnegie-Mellon), but not Penn ED and say Stanford Single-Choice Early Action.

and you guys are absolutely certain about that?

yea. as long as it's not ED to another school. don't worry. i did ED and EA as well.
