<p>There were other reasons I chose Penn, too. My brother went there and had a great experience, I'm in M&T so I get the second degree which I couldn't do at Harvard, it's closer to home, and my parents thought it'd be a better place to meet a nice Jewish boy =)</p>

<p>Regardless I kinda wish I had applied M&T... it sounds kinda fun. Although I admit I was scared of admissions rates before I even came to Penn because my high school rarely sent anyone to top schools so I was paranoid. Bahhh. Should have just went for it. Don't fear the rates, everyone!</p>

<p>Way to go for everyone rejecting Harvard. You've made the right choice. Harvard is a sad place to waste an undergraduate education. </p>

<p>For those of you who chose Penn over an irrestible offer (top tier school, good money) was it because you fell in love with Penn or was it pretty close? I feel like a real jerk because I chose Penn over CMU with 7k a year even though it wasn't like I absolutely had to have Penn.</p>
<p>columbia, cornell, ubc, uoft, uofa (three canadian schools...UBC gave me a really attractive offer but I just fell in love with Wharton and Penn last summer and I got into the Vagelos LSM program so I figured I just HAD to go)</p>
<p>I choosed UPenn over University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, Duke, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, UMichigan.</p>
<p>Haha Legend, yes i'm a girl (I guess I need to start using hears more often or something <3) and I ended up getting in off the Harvard waitlist last year.</p>
<p>wow, i sound like a total prestige whore for keeping myself on the waitlist...i was having a hard time choosing between penn and mit and there was a time when i thought harvard would be a good compromise. </p>
<p>i guess when it came down to it, though, i just wanted the whole process to be over. there were several reasons why penn was a better fit, plus i had already sent in my deposit to penn, and figured it was for the best.</p>
<p>georgetown, i applied there ea and was so sure i wanted to go there. the only reason i still applied to penn was becuase both of my parents work there and they get an awesome deal with the university, but i am so glad i did apply there. its an awesome school, im so excited!</p>
