“You do not have access to any discussions on this page” - huh?

I went to a poster’s main page to look at the threads they had started and got the message I posted in the thread title. @CCadmin_Sorin - what the heck?? Its not on other poster pages, and I am pretty sure this poster has started threads. Do you need a screenshot?

@CCadmin_Sorin I went ahead and sent you a screenshot

@jym626 that happened to me…turned out the poster had been banned…and previous posts look like they were deleted.

Maybe that is the case with your poster?

I sent you the posters name. Its a current poster.

Ok…i had this with a current poster…and it was odd. But in the lower right corner of the page of their “threads” there is a “more discussions” link. I hit that a bunch of times…maybe 5 or 6… and ONE thread popped up…so I kept hitting that “more discussions” thing and if I kept up long enough…I got more threads the poster had started.

But really…that’s ridiculous. Why wouldn’t their threads started have appeared right from the get go?

@CCadmin_Sorin

Guys, if the posts or threads sit in Private Forums (or forums you don’t have access to) you won’t be able to see them. So, as with the case presented by @jym626, all the threads are reported posts that sit under Private Forums (that only mods are admins have access to). Hope this helps explains the issue.

Understand that we don’t see reported posts, but that poster has started threads.

@jym626, when you report a post, you start a thread automatically. Was that the case? If not, can you send me a link to the person’s page and tell me which thread you’re talking about?

I understand about the reported posts being threads started in the mods private forum. But this poster has started threads, though maybe not recently. Thanks

For the user in question, the first page (in fact, the first several pages) of her threads are all reports. If you go down to the bottom and click “more discussions” a few times, eventually you will get to a page that lists threads she has started.

They are in inverse date order. The user in question last started a thread in 2014, so you’d need to click a several pages to get there. I’m sure it was just simpler to code so that non-applicable threads are rendered invisible to those who don’t need to see. Whether this can be resolved (or for that matter, if the benefit outweighs the cost to resolve) is above the mods’ pay grade.

@thumper1 @jym626 here’s what’s happening: The “Report” threads are hidden from you, but you still have to keep clicking to get back to pages which have public threads. Some users submit a LOT of reports and only have public threads from years ago (like 2014). So you might have to click through five or six pages to get back to any of their public threads.

If they have recent public threads, they will show up quicker.

@skieurope is right. For this user the first pages are full of Reported Posts, so you basically have to click “more discussions” a few times until you get to a page that actually contains a thread that is visible. I’ve created an internal ticket to see if this can be addressed (no promises though).
