'05 Toyota Rav 4. Pretty good car, decent mileage for its size (24 city/28 highway). Better than my first car, a '93 mercury villager mini-van :)

Has anybody else noticed that grand cherokees are actually terrible to drive at high speeds. the back spins out around corners like crazy, they make them far too high off the ground and they have no stability, i always feel like the back is going to fishtail, it's very unpleasant.

meateater0387, i think that's a function of being designed to go up insanely high inclines in mud and not around level corners on new asphalt :).

Cherokees do have an annoying habit of doing that...meaning I have to slow down when I make turns, which is completely pointless. I want my civic...sigh. The only thing I like about the Cherokee is accelerating fast and watching the RPM skyrocket - even if the actual speed change is slow. :(

Oh, and since I ride a lot, I do drive a bit on unpaven roads, which is it is good for - especially horse shows where it's muddy and stuff. 4WD is nice (the farm where I ride, the gravel turned into an ice ring with all the snow last week), but it's a ***** to get into.

1994 Toyota Land Cruiser. Dad bought it at a police auction (it was used to smuggle drugs to Mexico!) then passed it off to my mom when he bought another car. Mom hated it and was very anxious to give it to me when I got my license.

The gas tank is broken and leaks if it's filled to around half a tank. I usually play it safe and only fill it up about a third of the way. Considering that I'm working at about 10-11 MPG, I'm at the gas station twice a week and pretty much know everyone at Shell.

You love that song, don't you?
I still have to get my license! I was eligible last year. How embarrassing is that? Still driving around with a parent...

I won't be inheriting or getting any cars, but I may get a license sometime soon, which may prove difficult. Now if I can earn freedom of movement life will be fine. I get rides from my parents, since I can't drive. I have been too busy to undertake the program.
