Someone help me, I'm on a deadline and my printer is going crazy on me. I'm trying to print some documents and it says:

There was an error writing to USB001 for the printer (HP Deskjet 3740 Series)
There was a problem printing to the port.
Check to make sure your printer is configured to use a valid port.

I'm just making fun of the fact that mac is soo much better than window$. And note the use of the dollar sign on the S. Funny how Mac OS X costs $70 and windows XP costs $200, $300, or even $400, but Mac OS X is soo much more user friendly lol.

Switched to mac and never going back to PC again.

I never understood these ridiculous tyraids people get into screaming how one is better than the other. Who cares? It's personal preference! Just because you prefer PC doesn't mean "apple SUCKS".

The funniest thing is that most people who say mac/pc sucks have never actually tried the other versions.

yea, windows is also more convenient because u have to dl like a different patch, or different something for apple users =(. Also, microsoft word is much more universal and better than appleworks.

Such a well-crafted argument. Your logic is impeccable.

The reason that PC is better than Mac?

Right click.
[/quote]

Except...that...Macs...have...right...click. Ever actually used one, or did you just get this off the boilerplate macssuck.com site?

Huh? I dunno about you, but I think that Mac OS X's patching is pretty good. But then again, I can't really understand what you're trying to say.

Oh goodness forbid we expect people to have educated opinions! How dare you sir?!

windows has a bigger community. Every one uses it.

And that's exactly why it's better than mac.

OK, even if you say Mac has a great OS, structure, design, etc. but compared to windows, the amount of people using it is like...LOL!

Windows is FLEXIBLE because so many people use it, and develop off of it. I'm a certified programmer myself, and I can tell you that 90%+ use windows over mac. Windows is a lot more "OPEN SOURCE" than Mac.

Window's World is HUGE, and no matter how great Mac's World is, it currently is NOT as BIG. (great adjective :) )

More people using it doesn't necessarily make it "better." More people drive Honda Civics than BMWs, but that doesn't make the Civic a better piece of engineering. Similarly, you can make an argument that UNIX-based OSes have many advantages over Windows.

What is there on Windows that I absolutely positively need, though? I run Office fine, STATA runs just as well on my Mac as it did on my Wintel box, and most things are cross-platform nowadays anyway.

A computer is a tool. If the tool meets your needs, then what else is there? Mac OS X meets my needs better than Windows. From a purely economic standpoint, that means that, at least for me, Mac OS X > Windows.

My school only offers macs. I will admit that they are dated, but the ones that I use do not offer a right click option. I am the editor of my newspaper so I am on the school computer A LOT, and through my experience I have found that mac makes better with video editing/simple user friendly programs.
