Been prepping since June and I'm really looking forward to redeeming myself. I will probably take it for a third time in December, my final chance, to try to get a 31-32. In June I scored a 22(I know) but I think I will get a 27-28 this time around. Good luck to everyone :)

I’ll be taking the ACT for the first time next Saturday! Can’t wait! God luck to you.

Good luck. I too will be taking it this saturday. My English is abysmal, but the other 3 are usually 33+. I am thinking of taking again in december, do you guys think colleges will receive it in time?

It depends on the college. You have to ask them :)

I just realized that this is in less than week. Should be interesting. I’ve already gotten a score that I’m content with, and my superscore is great, so I don’t really care how I do on this. It’s more a matter of personal pride.

Yup I’m taking it and I feel pretty prepared. Third time looking for a score in the thirties! Good luck all and no nerves.

I’m not. The way things are looking, I’d still get a 31, which is a 1 point increase.

Would like a 33, but scores are stalling.

I’m taking it for the first and only time (I’m a Senior). I would really like a 34, realistically, a 33, at least a 32. Good luck everyone!

im a junior and this Saturday will be my 1st time! im taking it earlier than my class just to see where I stand. I want to get around a 28 this time, and work my way up to atleast a 30 or 31. I think my weakest area is the science section though.

I’m taking it and I have a question too. As a senior, will this be my last time to take the ACT? Because I know the results for the December ACT come on January 1, 2014, the deadline for many of my colleges, so will it be right on time?

I’m probably going to go into this cold, but actually being in school (as opposed to my June ACT), and not being super stressed (as opposed to my April ACT) should yield a good result for me. I think that I can get a 34 (1 point bump), and I’d love more. I’m probably going to prepare like hell on Friday.

@elite

Each school is different. Some allow later test dates for RD, while others don’t. But I know for sure that the October date is the latest you can do for EA.

Some colleges let you submit your Nov Test date too for EA. MIT does.

@Debater1996 & superstarlala - OK, thanks.

Hi guys,im "future’’ international studen, and i have couple of questions…
I am on standby request do you think i will get in or no ?
And I need score of 50 points in general…do you think its possible (easy) to make it?

Cheers :)

I’m also an international student taking the test on standby. Hopefully we both get seats at the test centers. We need to reach the center early, so our chances of getting to write the test increase.

And BTW, the test is out of 36, so it’s impossible to score 50 points.

ya man im finna get mah 36 (hopefully)

Hoping for a 31 this time around. I scored a 27 cold last time (22 on the reading). After studying, i have consistently gotten 31 english, 32-33 math, 28 reading, and a 29 science. The things that would throw me off (if i went below 30) would be many careless mistakes or just completely blanking on the reading again. PLEAASSSE LET ME GET AT LEAST 30+

Good luck! :)

Not ready at all, even though I’ve been prepping for about a month straight hah. This test is so frustrating. I’m hoping to get a 31 or 32 so at the very least I can say that I improved(scored a 30 the first time). What really angers me is that I scored a 36 on the English section the first time, but each subsequent practice that I’ve taken since that happened has yielded scores in the low 30’s, sometimes even 20’s. I’ve read both Princeton’s “Cracking the ACT” and Barron’s ACT 36, yet neither have really helped me score better on the two sections that give me the most trouble: Math and Science. There really is no miracle strategy for either of those two it seems… you either know how to correctly answer the questions or you don’t.

This will be my 5th time taking it (First time I got a 28 and then it went down :/)I’m kinda ready. I’ve been studying a little bit for the past few week and have been able to bring practice test scores quite a bit,so I’m thinking I’ll be able to get at least a 31 this time. Fingers crossed!

Let’s see what happens. I’m going through the Barron’s workbooks right now. English, Reading and Science seem very easy. I’m barely getting anything wrong especially in reading and english. Math is a different story though.
But I could be delusional I haven’t done a single practice test which is a disaster. About to start doing one. Will probably do another one before sleeping. Let’s see what I get… SCARED. This is my last and only chance.
