You know how...

you know how different schools have different grading scale?
how do colleges take that into consideration?
I know that the HS will send that info with the transcript,
but won't GPA be affected?

E.G.
in my county
94-100 A
90-93 B+
84-89 B
and so on
less than or equal to 63 being fail.

If I were to "compete" with a student from a HS where 90 or higher is an A,
my GPA could be lower than his/hers due to the diff. in the grading scale...

How the hxxx to colleges weight GPAs anyhow (give me an example...)

please help... people don't reply to my post... please do, I really want to know!!

thanks

I do not about the grading scales... but I do know that if your school weighted your GPA due to honors and AP courses, most top colleges unweight it and then look at the difficulty of your courses.

colleges will look at rankings

I also believe colleges recalculate the GPA based on raw grades, at least some do.
