For HYP you have a decent shot, but If you can raise your scores to the 2300 range then you will have a better chance. You may want to consider Duke. Are you interested in any other universities? You could get into a lot of schools with your stats. Best of luck.

Columbia

 • Harvard
 • Yale
 • Princeton
 • Stanford
 • UC Berkeley

If you live in California, Berkeley will be a match. If not, it’s a reach. I think you’re match/reach for Columbia. Everything else is always a reach, but with your current SAT’s, it’s probably a little bit further, meaning if you don’t do something to really impress them, you’ll get rejected.

But you can definitely improve yourself. There’s no reason for your math to be below 700. pick up some practice books and do all of the tests. review the questions you got wrong. There’s also no reason for your CR to be below 700. Do the same thing for CR. Analyze your strengths/weaknesses.

I’m not saying this to be snobbish. If you can take calc and english language, you can definitely ace the sat w/ enough practice.

No worries! I’d rather you said something than nothing at all, really.

The sad part is that after my first SAT, I went home and realized that most of my math questions were wrong not because I didn’t know how to do them, but from careless mistakes. It was definitely not one of my best moments ever.

And don’t worry about sounding snobbish; I know you’re only trying to help and I appreciate that.

You have a decent chacne at Berkeley if you’re from CA. Other than that, you have slim to no chance at other schools. Your stats are not impressive enough. I dun see anything standing out
