When you manage to get into one or more of HYPSM.

When you have perfect (or near perfect) standardized test scores.

Hah! Sad, but true.

When you know what a GC is…

"-your heart starts beating fast when you hear the ComApp is out or when essays for your fave schools come out "

You know the caps-lock terms URM, GC, SAT II, AP, EC, CC, HYPSMC

I think knowing HYPSMC is the true sign of a CCer.

^ You have a point there. And I know what it means!

^ Who doesn’t know what HYPSMC means? Seriously?

justaverage: go up to someone on the street and say: I’m considering some LACs, but I figure I might as well apply to HYPSMC anyways (with S or Y being SCEA), as some people on CC said to me, the OP, that my ECs were strong enough for those schools, despite me not being a URM, First-gen, or any other hook. My GC was, unfortunately, nonexistent in helping me find safeties, matches, and reaches.

If they have any idea what you’re talking about, which I figure is quite unlikely, you know they are/were a CCer.

^Most people.

Hahaha, I know. I would never say HYPSMC in a normal conversation and expect someone to understand what I’m talking about.

but, I thought “I think knowing HYPSMC is the true sign of a CCer.” implied that some CC’ers don’t know what that means…?

It made sense.

Some people on here don’t know CHYMPS.

I’m still not 100% what the C is for. I think some people mean different things for it. But HYPMS is obvi.

This thread is dead on I laughed so many times
