<p>So i've heard it too many times......"you never know with unc OOS..."</p>

<p>Is this soley because people with fantastic stats got rejected, or has there been students that didnt have amazing stats that got in too? Is it a mixture of both?</p>

<p>I'm just curious, seeing as i am on the lower end of things... Anybody have an exciting story abuot how you got in out of state with a 29 act or something?? Haha</p>

<p>It's a little bit of both, but mostly that amazing students get rejected/waitlisted.</p>

<p>It's simply the numbers --- there are around 750 out of state slots, with well over 10,000 out of state applicants.</p>
