The idea of Adolescence is fake, there really is no such thing. We now have kids living at home until they are 26, ive met 26 year olds who dont know how to mail a letter via USPS. Thats kinda scary. Naturally since adolescence is made up(by humans and not nature), humans after puberty are adults and aren’t supposed to need any more guidance. Once a human is able to reproduce they are naturally able and should be able to sustain their own lives fully. We live to comfortable lives and parents if it takes you 26 years to teach your kids what they need to know instead of 12-14, theres something wrong on your end.

I also personnel don’t believe its a parents job to contribute to their offspring college education after they turn 18. It just pushed the parenting process back more and hinders them in real life.

For Pete’s sake . . .

Yeah, and some 23-year olds don’t know capitalization, punctuation, the use of apostrophes, spelling, and grammar rules. But they still spew a lot of “absolute” truths (to them) anyway. Frankly, I’ll take the 26-year old. At least I can teach him how to mail a letter.

I went back and read a bunch of your posts. Are you that caustic in real life? I honestly mean this as helpful, although I’m sure it won’t be taken that way. Please stop acting like yours is the only right opinion. Because it isn’t. Neither is mine, by the way. But at least I’m smart enough to know that.

Gone for the long weekend. Happy New Year to all. Stay safe.

Dr. Horse- I would be able to retire if I stopped paying for my kid at 18! Wow. He’s 22 and still my biggest expense, but to us, it’s worth it.

What could I do with 400,000+? Wait, that’s only for college. K-12 at 20-30,000/yr for 2 kids, ballet, piano, violin…I know I must have left out a few things, oh that’s right, nanny and pre-school. I know, I know, I should have just let them raise themselves, maybe just left some food around (if they were lucky) while we were at work.

Ignore Dr. Horse, the serial ■■■■■.

He’s full of horse do-do when it comes to his claims. The only consistency in his rants is the pretend voice of an angry libertarian on steroids, sprinkled with the immaturity and ego of a boy in HS.

There is no substance, depth, or thought behind his posts, so don’t waste your time providing any in response.

academentia-
Perhaps he would be less of a ■■■■■ if he had good parenting growing up
