You think I can get in with these grades/SAT?

<p>Background Info
Religion: Jewish
Sex: Male
School: Competitive Magnet School in Georgia. Class Size (300)
Junior in HS</p>

<p>Academics:
GPA: 3.4
SAT: 1170 without writing/1740 with writing
Classes: Predominantly honors, two AP's, taking math at the community college (Statistics this semester, college algebra last semester). Next year I will be taking econ, english, and calc at the community college, then physics at my HS.</p>

<p>EC:
Cycling (sponsored, been riding for five years).
Debate ( captain this year, JV captain last year).
Interned at two law firms for 9th grade and 10th grade summer, worked at the legal aid society this past summer. Currently work 6 hours a week at the legal aid society.
Starting track, will be doing it senior year too.
FBLA (member since 9th grade, placed third in state for entrepeneurship)
Have a published essay on the death penalty</p>

<p>Community Serivce (285 Hours):
Volunteer Political science tutor (60 hours accumulated)
Legal Aid Society
Designed and managed website for not profit</p>

<p>Someone with similar stats in Raleigh was rejected to FCLC this EA session. I don’t know all what the committee saw, obviously, and how that played out. </p>

<p>Two things. Get the GPA up to 3.6 or above. Get the SAT up above 1250 to be in better shape.</p>

<p>Then apply to FCRH, where more dorm space is available.</p>

<p>I got accepted to FCLC with EA with sighly lower GPA but I had an SAT score of 1280 and alot more EC’s, international status as well as good recs and essay. I think you have a chance in getting in, 50/50 I think</p>

<p>I got in with a 3.45 gpa weighted. And an 1860 SAT score.
Since you have got extras you still stand a fairly good chance</p>
