you turned down _____ for UM?

<p>I created this thread cuz of the other one. I figured most people who are still hanging around this site turned down other schools for UM, not the other way around.
Well, to start, I turned down Johns Hopkins, Duke, Penn State (full ride), WashU, and UF.
Yeah, I'm really really bored.</p>

<p>Last year: NYU Stern, Penn State business honors, Boston College, Illinois, Rutgers (in-state)</p>

<p>Michigan was probably the best of these choices. I don't regret going.</p>

<p>I've been at Michigan for two years and I turned down Vanderbilt, Purdue, and Penn State. I love it here.</p>

<p>I turned down waitlist at Caltech (which apparently 0 people got in off of), waitlist at Harvey Mudd (later realized how horrible my life would be there), and I think I was technically accepted to EMU as a sophomore...yeah, that's about it.</p>

<p>Kettering (some money), Mich State (some money), Oakland U (full ride + honors program), Tulane.</p>

<p>I turned down 9 other top 25 USNWR universities to attend Michigan. I would have turned down 10 top 25 universities had the 10th not turned me down first! LOL</p>

<p>I turned down Vanderbilt (and, not as willingly, a UChicago waitlist) for Michigan and I am POSITIVE that I made the right choice (even if nearly no one I know knows of Michigan's greatness...or Chicago's..."State schools, huh?" One of my friends recently asked me if I would have rather gone to Boston U if I had applied...sigh).</p>
