I turned it down for UofChicago. Not trying to bring down Umich or anything coz Umich is a great school. Just wondering...=)

insert the other top 20 schools buddy......

I turned down other top 20 schools for Michigan. However, they are excellent schools so I wouldn't want to bring them down. Michigan was a better fit for what I wanted.

Why turn down Michigan? It is hands down the most complete university experience. hehe! Seriously, I turned down Brown, Cal, Chicago, Columbia, Cornell, Duke, Northwestern and Penn to attend Michigan and I am confident it was the right decision.

haha wow Alexandre

woo hoo michigan rules!

haha well i'll get back to the original topic, although i doubt there are many other people on this particular forum who turned down u of m for something else. i turned it down for mcgill, which was always my first choice. and cool as ann arbor is (it is! i am going to miss it a lot), montreal may be even cooler. not to knock u of m which is of course a great place.

Of course it is a great school, or else we wouldn't have applied there anyway..=) Just that one can only choose to attend one school.

turned down UMICH without any fin aid (out-of-state) for Imperial College of London

turned down Mich for Case Western. Mich gave me no money(OOS), Case did.
