Young Leaders Conference

Hi all..I know it's been posted on here before but I can't seem to find the old thread. My daughters dream school has been UCONN since she was 4. She's a straight A honors student, and going to be a junior next year. She's trying to make her applications as stand out as she can. She's gotten one of those invites to the National Youth Leaders Confrence in DC. I know theres no real "perk" with going, but I have heard the fact she didn't just slack off during the summer looks good. Any advice??? Thanks!

^any of the above will enhance an application more than attending a Young Leaders Conference.

If your daughter wants to attend one of these conferences, she should consider it a personal learning experience and vacation.

It’s certainly not money well spent. If you have money to burn, then go ahead, it’s a fun time and she might learn a thing or two. But seriously, find a camp, job or summer community service trip. It will look far better on the app.
