<p>Gah! I’m almost sure I’m not going to place at all, but the waiting is murder on my nerves! It wasn’t so bad for October because I had other contests to work on, but now they’re over too, so I’m waiting for replies from three!</p>
<p>I entered in Writing (Poetry, to be specific) so there’s very little chance. But even a small chance is still a chance!</p>

<p>@Ozymandeos What other contests did you have?</p>
<p>One for an international youth publishing label, Bombadil Publishing, called “The Label that Saved the World”. It’s closed to entries now, and the winner should be announced later this month.</p>
<p>The other was for the Building Red Anthology, out of St. Louis. Mars colonization stuff. </p>
<p>Both were for fiction, rather than poetry. I kind of didn’t finish my fiction entry for youngarts in time.

<p>I just hope that, if they call me (however unlikely that is), it isn’t during school hours. My teachers are lenient, but not that lenient. </p>
<p>i’m sure they wouldn’t call during school hours! i think finalists last year were notified in the late-ish afternoon on weekdays and if it’s on a weekend, earlier than that</p>

<p>I honestly believe they are going to start calling next week or later this week. </p>
<p>Whenever it is, I just wish it would hurry up. Waiting is killing me, especially since next to nobody from my state ever places, even as Merit or HM. </p>
<p>last year the finalist calls were all made on a Saturday. perhaps they will do that again. </p>

<p>It doesn’t really matter, I think… Just antagonized myself with statistics earlier. </p>
