how do you know that all finalists have been called?

Anybody hear for musical theatre??

https://mobile.twitter.com/YoungArts/status/397510512029995008 youngarts tweeted back at someone saying that they believed that all te finalists have been called.

Or spoken ? xD

puma69, a friend of mine has been notified that she is a finalist in the Spoken Theatre category.

Time to wait for the Honorable Mentions and Merits!

Thanks ActingDude17! Congrats to your friend!

I just called the YoungArts office and the guy said they’re not done with calls…

^ Are you sure they meant calls for finalists, and not notification for honorable mention and merit winners? Because I know I speak for a lot of people when I say that I don’t want to open up that glimmer of hope unless it’s legit, lol.

YA has almost certainly called ALL Finalists by now. They reported this yesterday on their Twitter. The rest of the notifications will be sent by email “soon.” (Acceptd said this Friday, the 8th, but I’m not sure if that’s accurate.)

HM and Merit winners do not get calls.

No they haven’t : a girl on Instagram got a call today… I just saw it

when I email YA whether the finalists have been notified, they replied:
“All applicants will receive email notification of their status and written confirmation by the middle of December”
I applied visual arts :)

So have all the visual arts finalists been notified?

I hope not! Did you apply for visual arts as well? I haven’t heard anything…

I applied in photography. Me neither, I really hope I get a call.

Yeah I applied for visual. I’m just so anxious to get a call! Do you know the number young arts calls from?

I think it’s a 305 number ( that’s their office number)

Perhaps the emails will start today? :)

I hope so. I wonder if it’s more likely for a senior to become a finalist than it is for a junior?

I can’t speak for other categories, but last year (the first that it was opened up to other than seniors), all of the finalists for voice were either seniors in HS or college freshmen (still 18). I think my son mentioned meeting one or two younger kids in other categories, but I think they were pretty rare.
